Simply Stated

When it comes to my art and writing I am a bit of a perfectionist. I have a way of complicating that which comes most naturally to me. I think my fear of failure stunts my creativity by forcing it to be structured and well planned.

So today’s blog post is completely unplanned and unstructured. No deep thinking went into writing it and no pretty pictures acompany it. I am simply posting it to share with you the words my heavy heart was lifted and encouraged by today.

‘To achieve your dreams, you must embrace adversity and make failure a regular part of your life. If you’re not failing, you’re probably not really moving forward.” -John Maxwell

“Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.” -Theodore Roosevelt

Hope that these are just the words you too were needing to hear today.

Wishing you smiles and sunshine,
