Handmade Holiday Blog Hop

Handmade Holidays 2014 Hop Logo

Welcome to the final day of the 4th Annual Handmade Holidays Blog Hop! We hope you enjoyed the projects from the last 2 days! A few years ago we were looking online for handmade gift ideas and thought it would be great if there was a resource dedicated JUST to handmade gift ideas. Enter the Handmade Holidays hop! We’ve gathered over 100 of our creative blogger friends in the craft industry as well as some of our fellow product manufacturers to bring you a plethora of inspiring gift ideas you can make now to give to your friends, family, and colleagues. Pin and bookmark these ideas for this holiday season and to use throughout the year! Each day of the hop features approximately 30 gift projects and you can “hop” from one blog to another to check them all out.

Making hand made gifts is so fulfilling. I just love creating small art pieces for people and decided I would share with ya’ll just how simple it can be with the right supplies.

Handmade Holidays gift idea

This is a photo of the inspirational supplies I gathered prior to beginning my project. I just loved the shape of the “Vintage Thin Plaque” from Walnut Hollow and knew it would look great covered in some Iced Enamels. So, I applied the Iced Enamels® Medium to the wooden plaque, sprinkled Turquoise Iced Enamels over the entire area, tapped off the excess powder and fused with a heat gun.

The same method was then utilized to cover the hot air balloon/cage with Raspberry Iced Enamels® and a pair of metal wings with Ivory Iced Enamels®. These three items became the main components for my piece and the rest of the objects I stole from my kids toy box 😉

Hope you are feeling inspired to create some art of your own and are ready for lots more creative handmade gift ideas and projects.

Wishing you smiles and sunshine,

Tatiana
