Maya Angelou once said “I long, as does every human being, to be at home wherever I find myself.” It was these beautiful words that inspired the following creation.
“Home” by Tatiana

Once I heard this quote I immediately envisioned a little red Monopoly house set between some trees. After painting my background, I glued the house down and tried to figure out what I could use for the trees. Since this piece is about home, I decided to use some green bottle caps from beer that was brewed right here in Chico, CA, where I now call home. For the tree trunks I used an old brown leather belt which I cut into strips. I then finished this piece off by collaging it with the qoute that evoked its creation.
